White Christmas

Well it started snowing on Christmas Eve pretty hard around 4 or so and snowed all the way till 9. This morning we all woke up to a very white Christmas!! Today has been a great day so far. We got up and Jason and Crystal made it over to my parent's about 8:30 and we all started opening up our presents. I think mom was very surprised by her new camera. Alexa seemed to want to open everyone's presents but her own. She then wanted to get in all the boxes. She absolutely loved the big laundry basket filled with balls that her Granny and Papa got her! I will post pictures sometime when we get home from Colorado. We are supposed to leave tomorrow morning at 5 am! This will be Alexa's first trip and it's a very long drive. I hope all goes good!

Gingerbread House

A couple of weeks ago Jeff and I bought a gingerbread house to decorate with Alexa. We decided tonight that we would tackle it! As Jeff was opening all the pieces we found out that both of the roof pieces were broken. We decided we would just fix them and then put it all together. So we fixed the two pieces and then started putting the rest of it together.

We finally got all the pieces together and were putting on some gumballs on top and it started to cave in...so Jeff decided to hold it together for a little while longer.

Once we thought it was together long enough we decided to just put icing all over one side of the roof and let Alexa decorate. She put pieces on for a little while and then started giving them to me to put on!! Once she was done it completely caved in! Alexa did enjoy it and also enjoyed eating the gingerbread tree that came with it!

Ready for Break

I am a teacher and am very ready for break. We only have 9 days counting today left to go. The kids are already completely done and getting them to complete anything is very tough. I had things thrown at me yesterday and it was nuts.

However on a good note, Alexa was very good last night as we sat through an 1 1/2 dinner at Chili's with the worst waitress ever. She didn't cry or anything! I was very proud of her.

Finally Doing This!!!

I have been following a friend's blog for a little over a year now and have said I would love to start one of my own....so I finally am. I will probably use this blog to update information on Alexa!! I know this is a very boring first post but I am just getting started!
